There's a rooster that crows in Newport News
If I had a gun, I'd shoot his cock-a-doodlely-dooing ass.

I wish that he'd SHUT THE FUCK UP!

1. Save him for the cook pot instead.
Chicken and dumplings sounds pretty good right about now.

3. That looks lovely!
Is that some kind of Hunter's Stew or something? I can't think of the French name for the dish (getting tired right now) but in Italian it would be a caccatorie (sp), wouldn't it?

5. Thank you!
I make alot of chicken and fish-that's our main meat meals. I try to make them healthy instead of frying them. A Hunter's Stew is more Americanized but allows me to throw in every single veggie I can find in my garden so I make it often. And it cooks up so tender in a crockpot!

6. years ago
friends of mine decided to get some chickens

having little knowledge about chickens - they bought a book about raising chickens

one very small chapter dealt with 'aggressive chickens'. From memory it read:

If you have an chicken or rooster that attacks you:
On the first "attack" - shove the bird with your foot, enough to send it back a few paces

on the second "attack" - kick the bird harder

on the third "attack" - make soup
