Did anyone notice the product placement during Dennis? |
|
While watching the Weather Channel yesterday I noticed that whenever they showed the obligatory scenes of people stocking up on water it was always Dasani water.

Kinda odd. That and I kept hearing people on tv saying they had to hurry up and get to Home Depot for some wood.

4. Dasani and Aquafina aren't spring waters. |
|
Unlike Zephyrhills, Poland Spring, Deer Park, Fiji, and many others.
Coke and Pepsi are cashing in on the bottled water 'thing' with overpriced filtered/purified tap water. Ugh.
And Trinity Water is the outrageous one out of Idaho that can't even be sold AS water, but as a mineral supplement. Damn it's good.

I like Fiji water but they don't sell it at my grocery store. I buy Aquafina. It tastes good. Sometimes I buy Ozarka which supposedly is from the Ozark springs!

Anything to get the company name out there. It really has nothing to do with charity, does it?

Maybe we could compile a list of hurricane sponsors. This hurricane brought to you by Dasani, Best Western, Home Depot, and Strawberry Pop Tarts.
Funny thing was that the Weather Channel kep saying how they were COMMERCIAL FREE while the hurricane was coming to shore.
