My little sister had a nose job this AM. I'm still shaking my head in disbelief and do not approve. But then, is it really SO different than the rather expensive tattoo I have on my back? And she never approved of my motorcycle  Anyhow I'm glad she got through the surgery safely.

2. At one time I would have shook my head too, but now |

I basically say "F*ck it!" It's your body, it's your life - if it floats your boat go for it!
I guess I now like when people use their bodies as canvases to a degree. I used to hate tatoos too, but now I think they're awesome!

But... her nose job, your tat? Six of one, half dozen of the other.
Any pix of the tat? I just love good ink.
Khash.

I'm biased I guess, rationally I know theres no difference. Anyway I don't have any pics of it at the moment. But I do like good ink too.

piccies of your tats too. I love to look at tattoos. I have always wanted one, but I'm looking for an artist who can read my mind, which isn't helping much in my search. It's my fault. I can picture what I want in my head, but can't describe it to an artist just right. I do love tattoos though.

I had a boob job (reduced those jugs to a more manageable size). I, personally, have nothing against plastic surgery if it makes one feel better. And lemme be the one to tell ya, getting 4 pounds of weight off each side of my body made me feel tons better and made by back hurt much less.

That I completely understand. You were reducing back pain. But again, I know its my bias, and rationally it's not a big deal.

14. Maybe, it's just not your thing??? |

I mean I have to admit, if I could get rid of the 2 liver spots on my face, I would do that too, if I could afford it. The only way I got rid of the hanging hooters was that my mom paid for it. If you are already satisfied, then so be it. No biggie either way to me. I doubt I would have my nose done, although I do have a hump in it. I kind of like the part-Cherokee look even though I am Tuscarora, not Cherokee...

10. I like your attitude about it. |

While the nose job is much riskier, if it maker her happy the way your tattoo made you, so be it.
There's little enough contentment in the world. Here's to a good recovery--and good on you, indigo! !

16. Sorry, but whenever I hear of a nose job, I think of this old song |
|
"Mad Twists Rock'n'Roll" on the Big Top label #12-1305. 'She Got A Nose Job"... What a song. She got a nose job She got a nose job It's now turned up instead of hanging down She got a nose job She got a nose job And now she the prettiest gal in town
She never had no one To call her own Her future looked mighty bleak But now she's on Everyone's list Since she overhauled her beak

No real comments on her choice, however.
I'm old enough to have had to eat my words too many times in the past. :)
