21. No it's not, it is good to be able to discuss crying
More importantly, it is good to know that others understand.

Heck, for the hugs alone the post is worth it.

When the soldiers who had no legs were talking about the way they were treated. I saw that movie once in the theatre, and I never want to see it again. It was a great movie, but movies like that I only need to see once.

20. Saturday.
I'm pregnant and totally emotionally unstable (is that a redundancy? lol) and I posted something here that several people jumped on me for, saying I was accusing someone of something when I was simply making a connection, and it just set me off on a crying jag. There was other stuff, like I'm totally fat now and feeling very insecure about being pregnant, etc. But it still bothers me that even here, people sometimes forget that there's a real person with real feelings on the other end of the post.

30. Very sniffly over Andy. Came close to crying a couple of times over mom
while away at cheer camp. (She loved cheering too. The times I almost cried were:

a) thinking how I couldn't call her to tell her how it all went

b) seeing the special ed girl that was at camp. Mom would have liked to have known about her.

c) the day one of the other coaches, and older lady, complained of bad heartburn. I had to ask her if she was _sure_ it was heartburn and explained what happened to my mom.

37. Last night.
I listened to Tori Amos's "Me And A Gun" and it got me remembering and obsessing about my own rape. Well, it was the anniversary of it, so why not? I wasn't crying for myself but for the man who saved my life (he really seriously did) and looked after me and took care of me.

He died. And it's only as the years have past that I've appreciated what gifts he gave me, and with each year I learn new appreciation. And he's dead and I can't tell him how grateful I am and fuck it now I'm crying again dammit!

But here's to you Charlie! You will always have my eternal love and gratitude. Just wish I could tell you that. Shit! Fuck!

Sorry, everything is under control. I apologize. I just wish I could tell him thank you.

Khash.

44. S'ok, s'all right
It was 21 years ago and I'm OK. The story is pretty fucking ugly and serial killer type scary but it's usually OK. I can even occassionally laugh about certain aspects of it.

But this time of year I wish to the gods I could just thank Charlie for everything he did for me (including literally saving my life) and I can't and it get's me thinking and... well, major self indulgent tear-fest. I think the best tribute I can offer him, is to try to be like him. Rather than just sit around and cry.

Khash.

60. When * was re-elected
Edited on Tue Jul-12-05 10:00 AM by socialdemocrat1981
It came one month after our sexist, racist, reactionary neo-con jerk of a Prime Minister was re-elected with full control of the Senate. The same Prime Minister who looked so similar to Dick Cheney that Jay Leno confused them both

I just couldn't face up to the fact of a few more years of two reactionary world leaders who have destroyed all the ideals and values that I cherished so dear

It takes a lot to make me cry -but that did it

66. Inevitibly, when a new hurricane crops up.
Given my panic issues, it's never a good thing when one of these crops up. I made it through two direct hits last year, one of which took our house. We're going to move, but we have elderly family down here and the responsibility of handling their needs usually falls to us. Got to figure out what to do with that before we head somewhere other than Florida.

So yes, I've cried a little now that we're already getting shot at by Mother Nature. :p
