Just saw Beck!
What a great show he puts on.

I took my 9 year old son, who loves the new album. It was his first concert, he loved it.

Can't hear now, but it was awesome! :) :)

2. Is it true Beck's a Scientologist?
I heard he was and am just curious if it's true.

(Sorry for the OffTopic -- I've heard his shows are amazing.)

6. Why is it sad?
He can be whatever religion he wants. Unlike a certain movie star, he doesn't make a big deal out of it, and you wouldn't know he's a Scientologist from seeing his shows or listening to his music.

9. True
I just can't imagine him falling for that. I'm glad he's not on a mission. I'm cool with anybody no matter what their religion as long as they don't start pushing it on me.

But that whole anti-psychiatry thing is what pisses me off about scientology. I've got a lesson to learn them if they want to hear mental illness straight from the horse's mouth. Just give me six months off my medication.

10. Yeah I agree
They are a bit whacked.

We checked out this private school for my daughter once, and it seemed great from the outside, I even asked them if they were affliated with any religion and they said "No", but once inside, I saw a kid reading an L. Ron Hubbard book and I just knew. When I got home I googled the school and they came up as a Scientology-based school. Freakin' liars.

8. It was a GREAT concert
Even better than I expected. It was the first show of their West Coast tour, and he seemed to love playing at a small-ish venue.

He did this great acoustic set where the band sat around a table and played along on utensils (LOL, guess you had to see it). People were yelling out requests for acoustic songs so he did a medley instead.

He also ended the show by inviting about 20 people on stage from the audience to dance along.

:)

honestly I picture beck working to undermine them, or at least going public and making an funky dance tune with those theramin-like religious clearing devices.. they look so .. electro.

E-meter E-Pro

It must be said I'm a rabid Beck fan, and if he were a satanist I'd find that religion funny too, cuz you cant' take Becks religion seriously. :)

I hope that makes sense, he just seems too much the Trickster heart.
