14. I said this the other day

We sure take the "high road" quite often and look where it is getting us. As I get older I am starting to see the "dog eat dog" world I was told about as a child and I'm starting to second guess the way I think.
It's one thing to personally take the high road when it comes to just your own situation, but because of us always "turning the other cheek" we have lost a lot of what this country should be about.
With the Andy situation I don't think that taking the high road is the right thing to do. Those sick fucks that did what they did need to be put in their place. I am also starting to feel that way toward a lot of other situation concerning the repug party. They have shown themselves to be disgusting pieces of trash time and time again, and we just let it go. If it were just about party affiliation I would just write it off as "sport". Because it is "evil", I believe it needs to be dealt with.
Just my opinion.

that justice be done. No one is suggesting that we just roll over and let the people who stalked and hounded Andy and his friends get away with it. We need to press the FBI and whatever other authorities have jurisdiction to investigate and charge those who did this. My understanding is Will Pitt is one who is involved in that.

Taking the high road means we would never do the same to them -- if a freeper got sick and his fellow freepers raised money to help him we should be the first to condemn anyone who tried to use the same tactics as were used against Andy.

I understand your anger and frustration. I'm angry and frustrated with them, too. However, being a progressive or Democrat has to mean something besides just who to vote for. It has to mean treating others the way you want to be treated, even if you don't agree with their politics and most especially if they fight dirty against you. You don't fight them by becoming them, otherwise we'll all screwed.

I understand it's not all about who we vote for. I don't quite understand what you are saying. You seem to be saying the same thing I said, but in different phrasing.
There are a few people who seem to want to just let it be and think that if anyone goes after them we are "sinking to their level". My point is that it is not doing what they were doing, it would be making sure they don't get away with everything they get away with.
You have to remember that their actions were based strictly on politics, they were not being advocates for the consumer so to speak. It was an evil and dirty thing they did just because Andy was a liberal.
