4. I think about two, but my backyard is a regular pet cemetery...
besides the two cats I know that are burried in my backyard, there is a Guinea pig, about five hamsters, and countless numbers of birds. Hopefully My Mom won't burry my dog in the backyard, when he passes, I think she is going to keep his remains in an urn...he is just too special to be burried in the backyard.

5. A lot!
We have a pet cemetary, too. Stranger Kitty, several bunnies, a baby bird we found and did not survive until we could get it to a wildlife rehab center, a hamster, and my doggie was cremated so stays in the house with us.

We also buried some stray kitties we found alongside the road. I think it's only right that a poor creature who likely had a rough life have a final resting place NOT alongside a road to be picked apart by buzzards.

6. 3 of our cats, 1 little stray kitten that was run over
Our dog was 120lbs..so he was cremated and is with us inside. We've had several other animal funerals..most recently a nest of 4 baby bunnies that froze during the late spring snow. Several birds, fish, and a snail also rest in my flower garden.

25. Oh . . .
. . . I'm sure we could make arrangements to change that little "0" statistic concerning the cat count in your yard.

Anybody else up for some stealth cat hunting? Choose your weapon!

But this has been the family house since April, 1961 (44 years and counting -- hard to believe). We've had dozens of pets -- mostly cats.
Old cats have died. Kittens were sickly or stillborn.
Some mews got sick or hit by a car.
One got stuck in the furnace ductwork several years ago and we found his remains when I replaced the furnace in 2001 (actually the furnace guy did, but I had to shovel Ugly Stinky Mew out of the duct and bury him).
Anyhow, we've been burying cats here since I was in kindergarten (I'm 48 now). The whole backyard and east side yard is a pet cemetery and I don't even remember the names of most of the critters.
Of course, I'm going to die here someday, too -- so it all equals out.
John
Who has survived two heart attacks and is not planning on going any time soon, though.

27. Thank you
I have seven cats right now -- Ginger, Fred, Abu (Boo Mew), Minnie, Frankie, Slurpie and Baby Girl. I think Fred had a stroke a few days ago -- his one leg is paralyzed, but he doesn't seem to be in pain and there's no swelling. He isn't showing any signs of stress about it, other than he's miffed it doesn't work. And he's functioning just fine.
I can't afford health care for myself, so what can I do? If he was in pain, I'd have him put down -- but, as it is, I guess we just ride it out together and hope I'm not digging another hole in the near future.
John
Fred is 11 years old. We're kind of facing our mortality together, which is (I guess) as it should be.

16. One On My Window
Pete was cremated, and I still don't know what to do with his ashes, so they still sit in the wooden box they came back from the crematorium in on the front window.

Lily's and Ramona's ashes are in the crematorium's memorial field.

Sourpuss, Mrs Meow, Emily, Gloria, Kuble, Felix, Annabelle, Queenie Mae, Fat Head, Dr Winston O'Boogie, Mushmouth and others I can't remember right now are buried in my mother's backyard.

20. Press them into diamonds.
There is a company that will take the ashes of your loved ones and press them into diamonds. It cost like 8grand to have the minimun 2 stones at 1/4 karat each.

Kiwi I buried next to a cedar seedling about 6 years ago and that tree is now 15 feet tall, so part of her is part of that tree. Weenie I just buried a few months ago and have planted a crape myrtle and dogwood over her.

26. Gizmo's here with me in the office
in a box....

All the other cats we have had we either gave away or they took off...

I forgot, we had to put down one. We found her as a stray down in the alleys of OSU. She was just too wild. We tried, The vet tried and in the end, he suggested we put her down. Hardest thing I ever did....

Actually one Cat (Bobber) that just died one night 8 years ago. The other one (China Blue Eyes) was cremated first, as was Matty, the wonder cat, who was buried with April last Spring.

Pal, the golden retreiver is still on my computer desk, but I think he will be sprinkled over April's grave, as he was her dog.
