What's something you've always wanted to do, but haven't yet?
Doesn't have to be anything major, for example, mine is skydive.

I had a list when I was a teenager of some stuff I wanted to try in my lifetime. So far I've hit most of them.

For some reason I've yet to try skydiving. I'm going to have to get busy on that one. :D

Then I'm going to start a new list, one has to have some silly goals in life as well as the major ones.

Learning to fly is my big thing.

Either that, or going to a driving school to learn how to really drive a car.

It's all the other lessons that get costly. Learning to fly is not an inexpensive proposition. :(

But, until they come out with a cheaper hybrid SUV-type, I doubt I'll be doing it. It would just seem absolutely wasteful to blow all that gas on a normal engine. But if I could get 50-60 MPG in an SUV-type, I'd do it!

127. Here's some advice from Momma Lone Star
We all get hurt sometimes in the game of love. It sucks, I'll be the first one to admit that. The only thing worse is not giving yourself the chance to experience the good feelings love offers for fear of that risk. It's a gamble that at some point you're going to have to allow yourself to take.

The choice is yours, choose to live your life to the fullest.

Tell you what, I'll cut in front of you a bunch on a jetski and make lots of wakes, how's that sound? No? Well, if you're interested in the Grand Canyon, you can see about hooking up with maveric on his great adventure.

The rooms are a little cramped but I think it's because they want you to spend more time in the casino.

Also, having a 3 1/2 - 4 hour drive from my house to Vegas helps a lot!

101. I didn't spend very much time in my room
So that part didn't bother me. Room service was painfully slow and they kept running out of food due to the high demand, I think. The place was really overbooked when I was there.

I might give 'em another shot and just check and make sure they don't have any conventions booked at the same time. :)

Pick a cruise that has ports you've always wanted to visit. The experience of being on the ship is a blast, it's like a mini floating city. Then when you go off ship to do the tourist thing make sure you get your butt back to the ship with plenty of time to spare... We lost a person at one port and they had to fly to the next to catch up. The ship WILL sail without you. LOL!

145. No! Don't give up!
There are ways to offset the expense. I've been to and sent my daughter to many different countries and I am not a wealthy person. I catch tour groups that are trying to fill spaces. I know a guy in London who does this sort of thing for a living and he turned me onto the idea. If they only have 18 people and it takes 20 to get a discount rate they will be willing to let people add on. Here's an example. Last summer there was a great deal where I was able to send my daughter to London, Italy, and Greece for around $1300! This was a two week trip. That included everything. Yes, I had to pay more out of pocket for all the other stuff she wanted, but the point is you can do it cheap if you just look around.

152. $1300 is way, WAY out of my league
And the cheapest I could get to my destinations is usually around that much--not including things like food and lodging. I've got more than $40K in student loans, plus another couple grand in medical debt, so even if I get a good job in the next few years, I doubt I'll ever have that kind of money for things like travel.

Someday, maybe I'll win the lottery, and then I'll get to go.

144. Week long solo trip in the Boundary Waters Canoe Area wilderness.
That'd be a highlight, for sure.
Would also love to visit a couple other continents; have been lucky enough to see some of Europe but would love to travel more extensively.
And get better at Spanish.
And learn French.
And keep working on my Greek.
And buy a set of the OED....oh man.
And maybe learn to paint.
And MAYBE get my tits lifted. Maybe.

148. Ahh, the Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness...
A paddle dipping into the water…
The splash of a beaver tail…
The echoing call of a loon…
A northern sun setting on a glassy lake…
Tall pines whispering in the wind…

No, I did not write that, it's off their website. :P

That does sound like a slice of heaven I have to give you that.

As far as the other continents go, how do you feel about Australia and New Zealand? We've got some people here who I'm thinking about hooking up on a group tour there. :)

The languages, well, that makes my heart leap for joy. There is no goal as worthy as expanding your knowledge.

On the boob lift.. Don't do it! My friend did and and the pain was horrible for her. At least talk to someone who has before you do, her case may have been an exception. :) My thoughts are if they don't like the way I come packaged, too bad for them!

153. The BWCAW is heaven; love it love it love it. Would LOVE Aus or NZ
but it'd be ages before I could realistically think of it, but DO share photos!!
Language just a passion...always has been. It's like a little bit of magic.
And the boobs, yeah, I dunno...I don't want implants (unless it can be my own lard transplanted from a less-desireable location) but I really would like to rearrange that which has packed up and slid south...
Or maybe I'll just invent a COMFORTABLE supportive push-up bra that does not give one a uniboob.

The uniboob thing! So true and too funny!

Language is a passion of mine, also. I currently speak Spanish, German and am working on refreshing my Italian. Some day I will live in Italy so it I need to polish my skills. :)

146. Find the man of my dreams and travel the world with him
Does anyone know any highly intelligent, witty, widely-knowledgeable, kindly, ethical, monogamous, fiftyish men who aren't obsessed with pro sports, cars, and staying within their comfort zone?

I say find the man during your travels, rather than wait until you find one to begin. Life is fleeting and for all you know the man of your dreams could be in Italy right now longing for a woman like you!

But I have to figure out how to make a European trip affordable.

162. Price can be daunting
At risk of sounding like a broken record here, look into a group package. It gets you the best rates on airfare and accommodations. Once you are there it's up to you if you do the tours with the group or take off solo.

Good luck! :)

147. live in England for at least 3 months
boob reduction
snorkel the Great Barrier Reef.
go to Cuba ASAP after we can finally legally travel there before it gets too Americanized.
Mediterranean cruise
one of those Windjammer type cruises on the big sailing yachts

this is the really BIG ONE:

have a Christmas with both my sisters, their husbands, and all our kids together at one time. Not likely to happen but it would be awesome.
Maybe after my middle sister moves from Connecticut to No Carolina, we could all meet in Kentucky for Christmas. My sisters and I have not all been together for Christmas since 1973, or whatever year my middle sister moved to Connecticut.

171. I hope we can do that one day. We do manage to get together,
just not at Christmas. We have joked that we need to have a Christmas in July or something sometime.

We have snorkeled the reef @ Cozumel and the reefs off the Fla Keys; maybe someday we will get to Australia.

Meanwhile this year's vacation is Wyoming.

149. Learn to play the piano.
Buy a decent cello and relearn it (it's been about 28 years since I played it).

Buy a really excellent telescope and learn to find and view all the planets.

RELAX.

Relax! Most of us need to strive for more of that in our lives. Good choice!

Call around and see what you can find out about some piano lessons, I highly recommend learning to play. It's a great way to relax and a very diverse instrument, IMO. As for the cello... I love a well played cello. When you get back into that record yourself and send me a CD. That is one of the most beautiful sounds on earth. :)
