Top 10 bitch list
RedEye Published July 12, 2005
1. High prices of tickets and concessions ($4 for water?)
2. Cell phone users: "Hey dog, I'm in the movie. Yeah, it's not too good." SHUT UP!
3. Sticky floors: "That was a Milk Dud, right?"
4. Spare us the commercials and endlessly repetitive and ancient trivia.
5. Loud talkers and laughers--this ain't your living room.
6. Bratty kids--crying and running around the 10 p.m. showing.
7. Big-footed apes whose feet are on the back of your chair.
8. Trailers are OK--as long as they don't give away the whole stinkin' movie.
9. Sound: THX run amok.
10. Movies that suck.

The ones who bring their kids to age-inappropriate movies and/or at inappropriate times. I've seen parents with 5-year-old kids at midnight showings of one of the "Scream" movies. Guess what, chumps? When you have a kid, you have to make lifestyle changes, and when your kid won't be quiet, I will tell you to shut it up or take it outside.
Also the parents who bring babies in those hand held car seat thingies. Number 1, the kid is going to start crying sometime during the movie, and number 2, the loudness of a movie is enough to damage Bratney's still undeveloped sense of hearing. If you're too cheap or can't afford a babysitter, do everyone a favor and stay home.

8. When I saw "Sin City" a dad brought his two very young kids |
|
The movie was rated 'R' for violence (and there was a lot of it and it was pretty graphic) and nudity, and his kids looked like they were maybe 5 and 7 years old or so. I have no idea why he thought that would be a good choice, and I can't imagine why the clerk even sold him tickets for it in the first place. ("One adult and two children for Sin City? The total comes to....")

10. I saw a mom take her 5-6 year old to From Hell. |
|
I mean, I can imagine taking kids to Sin City under the mistaken impression that it's just another comic book movie, but "From Hell?"

14. I've seen this so often..... |

you've gotta wonder who allowed these idiots to become parents. It's obvious the parents are dragging their kids to a movie THEY want to see, rather than sit through "Finding Nemo". I can't imagine what scenes of horrible violence do to a small child. I remember being scared for years by some stuff I saw as a kid, and it was so tame compared to what's out there today.
You would think movie owners would at least confront these idiot parents by pointing out that the movie in question is not appropriate for small children. But they don't. I once confronted a woman with a five or six year old watching a very violent movie. She appeared to be the child's grandmother, and I ask her where the little girl's parents were, and if they knew what sort of movie she was being drug to.

30 dollar snicker bars, 7 gallon bucket of popcorn you needed a second mortgage to purchase, and the 90 oz. soda that weighs in at close to a metric ton. (With a tiny fucking straw)

Whomever decided that it would be a good idea to give people something crunchy to eat while 200 individuals are trying to watch a movie should be shot.
Also blatant commercials before features. I didn't pay $10/ticket to also have to watch your damned advertisements.

It's something cheap, light, and expendable to throw off the balcony.
Throwing red vines just isn't the same.
