5. but really, with Firefox browser & the Adblock extension

one can eliminate those annoying too-large jpgs and gifs within certain sig lines here without disabling sig lines altogether. I only block them after seeing them about 50 times. :)

Some sig pics just don't make sense juxtaposed with very serious topics.

I didn't know that until I read your post. Signatures off is the default value. I turned on and now I can see people signatures.
