For those who genuinely wish to know, -

first, - use skim milk as it foams better.

second, - put the espresso into the bottom of the cup and as you're pulling the foamed milk into the cup from the nozzle, move the nozzle in and out of the cup at graduated lenghths of time moving from the longest times at the outter rim to the quickest bits of time at the middle of the cup. The trickle off at the finish will look like the point of the leaf.
