16. O.K. Here it is.
To the San Jose Mercury News (Knight Ridder)

In your article on the Valerie Plame leak, you suggest that a crime "may have been committed" if Carl rove leaked the name of an undercover CIA agent. My understanding is that revealing the identity of our covert operatives in a time of war is not just a crime, it's treason. I'm not a lawyer, but my understanding is that treason in a time of war is punishable by death. George Bush takes pride in portraying himself as a war president, ergo, I must assume that we are at war. I must also assume that revealing the identity of our covert operatives while we are at war is treason. The fact that Rove didn't "say her name, is irellevent. That is sort of like saying "I won't say the name, but it's that guy who played in a band with John, Paul, and George." Revealing that Wilsons wife was a CIA operative, when Wilson's bio is available on the Internet is treason, plain and simple. The fact that this appears to be done as punishment because Wilson didn't report what the administration wanted to hear is even more damning. My question is, two people who didn't publish the story are in legal hot water, one is in jail, but the person who actually made the info public, Robert Novak, seems to have a free pass. Can somebody explain that to me? If this story is true, it is a sad day for America, when people at the highest levels of government commit treason. Sure makes Lewinsky look like a non event.

12. Just got home after a 15 hour day in 95 degrees with 76% humidity
and I am running on 5 hours of sleep out of the past 58 hours. Trust me, you want me to wait until at least 10 AM tomorrow before trying to write a LTTE. I am dead. The dog tried to kick dirt over me.

The cat is arranging for my wake.

Administration is deceitful, corrupt

The editorial policy of the Register seems to be very pro President Bush and pro Republican, but I will say that differing viewpoints are published, so here's credit for that.
The facts are there, for all who wish to find them, showing that the Bush administration is corrupt and deceitful. Patriotism is not about falling into lockstep just to support the president. Supporting the troops does not mean we can turn a blind eye to the lies -- yes, downright lies -- to fix the facts around the policy to go to war.

Patriotism is standing up for what the United States was founded upon: freedom to stand against tyranny, to stand against sending our soldiers into an unjust war with no exit policy and spending billions and causing more violence.

Where does it end, and for what purpose? Why do the reasons keep changing? Knowledge is power, and THAT'S patriotic
