Poker on TV
I think we're up to about 10 shows on a variety of different networks. The appeal is lost on me. I find cards boring in the first place (raised in the video game age) and putting it on TV makes it all the more boring. That is all.

1. I like it.
Different strokes, I guess.

It gets great ratings.

3. It must
Because they're popping up all over the place. I guess I'll just have to weather the trendyness and hope it dies out.

7. I think the network stuff will back off in time
I'd expect it to be a staple on ESPN and Fox Sports for quite some time.

TV Poker could develop a similar sized audience to televised golf eventually.

2. Can't be worse than golf.
And both are preferable to W.

5. It's like any sport or game...
if you like it, it's interesting. If you don't, it's not.

I like poker, so I enjoy it. I've been following the World Series pretty closely on the web.

Now, I hate basketball - can't imagine why people watch it. Different strokes and all that.

8. I like it, unless there is a microphone placed beside the chips...

those people fuss with those fucking things constantly! the clacking gets on my last fucking nerve.

celebrity poker is pretty funny sometimes, and they either don't play with their damn chips as much as the professionals, or there is better editing in the sound booth.
