Ah yes, remembering those summertimes of youth
I can identify numerous things different that what I remember just in this one photo and yahoo caption.

Kevin Anderson, ten, grimaces as he plays a hand held electronic game while his cousin, Courtney Beecher, 12, peers into the refrigerator inside their RV in the Wal-Mart parking lot in Concord, N.H., in this Aug. 20, 2004, file photo. It was the first time the Andersons had camped at a Wal-Mart. 'It's kind of handy,' said father Ken Anderson. (AP Photo/Concord Monitor, Lori Duff/FILE)

2. (not to pick on the kid, BUT) Kevin what did you do on your vacation?
I sat inside the RV playing videogames and watched the working poor sell crap to the working poor.

3. What??
Why Wal-mart? There has to be an RV camping ground.. and I'm sure they can afford to park there if they could afford the RV.

I'd be indoors playing games if I were "camping" at Wal-mart too.

4. There have been several threads about this recently
I first heard about oh about 3 years ago. I thought it was mostly for the older crowd, apparently not.

Walmart's tend to be located near interstates and highly visited destinations. It is free to park there (no water or sanitation hookups I would guess) so that seems to be why people do it that and the proximity to a Walmart should you need anthing.

6. I sense a new profit center for Wal-Mart execs to look into . . .
Long term paid parking :). You could charge a flat fee of $14.95 a day for anyone that stays beyond a 2-4 hour limit for shopping :)
