I remember that our "guide" while we worked in Alaska got all excited every time he saw a pile. He also got excited when he saw a banana slug, and wanted all of us to come out and look at it UP CLOSE.

Do you think I wanna go shake hands with a bear OR a banana slug? Pfft. If that makes me an asshole, then I'm an asshole.

The time I ran into the kodiak grizzly.....cause I ran across it's 'signature line' first, but my husband thought it was caribou, so we proceeded, much to our later dismay...can you say "One rung down on the food chain"?

14. Really, have you heard her Berlin performance?

It was absolutely amazing. It was heavily guarded, too, because at that point in time black entertainers had some real racism aimed at them in Berlin. She was recieved with accolades, and sang and talked and laughed fearlessly. Her improvisation beats everyone else.
