I'm going to run outside and wash my car and turn on the sprinklers real fast. If I have time when I'm done I'll do a rain dance. :D
Wish me luck. We really need the rain!

The lightening actually helps free up nitrogen in the atmosphere and the rain delivers it to the ground. Free fertilizer!

I suspect the broad, wiping moves just happen to mimic the real rain dances, and that's why they always... you know.

28. It's rained here every day for at least a week |
|
maybe 10 days, and will again now, as the clouds roll in. The pattern is usually the same, bright and sunny in the am, then storms in the pm.
The past 3 days in a row, there's been a beautifully bright double rainbow outside the front door.
Sounds like it's needed way down south!

42. The winter is our rainy season |
|
So we won't be needing it then.
We do get snow where I live, well, sort of. I'm in an elevated part of the state and once a year we see this wet white stuff that falls from the sky. We know it's snow because it's not beating the heck out of our cars the way hail does. It's something we've been known to stay up all night to see fall and it hardly ever last more than a few hours after sunrise. :D

If you don't mind some dirt and gravel mixed in. I find it adds to the value of a direct hit, myself. :)
We also make lovely snowmen that end up being slightly whiter than the soil color. :P
