I don't think he's a genius by any means but I think we do ourselves a disservice by perpetuating this image of his idiot persona. I think it's a carefully crafted one that allows him to avoid accountability for virtually everything. Yes, there are plenty of people behind the scenes who are framing things but he holds a large share of guilt and should not be given a pass.
