Poll question: Decorate my home! Your advice is needed and appreciated |
|
My parents are currently visiting. My partner and I have just moved and are trying to unpack, decorate, and entertain my parents simultaneously. I actually came into work this AM to take a break from the situation for awhile.
Anyway, we're at loggerheads over fuzzy toilet lid covers. What do you think and why?

1. Tacky (to say nothing of unsanitary). |
|
Bacteria are going to thrive much more efficiently in a fuzzy toilet-seat cover, and regular exposure to steam from bathing isn't going to help.
Besides which, it just LOOKS ridiculous. Eother standard white or else finished wood, sans cover, are a better option.

2. The only people who should have fuzzy toilet seat covers are |
|
the elderly or others that have difficulty bending over to dry themselves after getting out of the shower.
My grandmother explained to me (over this very issue) that she needs to put her feet (one at a time) on the toilet seat lid to dry her lower legs and feet so she doesn't have to bend so far.
It's much more pleasant to put one's foot on the fuzzy lid rather than the bare melamine or whatever that compound is.
