I couldn't stand it otherwise

I have to get two copies...I'm not sharing with my husband. Not gonna happen. :)

6. I can't spare the cash right now. I just had to spend money today
on a new battery for the car :(.

My car just stopped starting . . . or something. It was fine this morning, went out at lunch and it wouldn't start. Got a jump start, got the Sears, and the battery was so bad that it wouldn't even register on their testing device (meter whatever).

Ah well, there went another $80 into the car (that makes it about $1,500 this year).

7. Ouch!
I don't think there's ever a good time for car repairs but they do always seem to come when at bad times.

I promise not to post any spoilers!

Besides, I'll probably read it, then read it again immediately after....no time to post spoilers. :)

8. Have you noticed...
The people with meters are selling batteries?

What is up with that?

9. Well, considering the battery wouldn't hold a charge and the car
actually died in the middle of the street after it had been jump-started once, I'd say it's a safe bet their meter was right-on.

I'm just happy it wasn't the alternator :)

10. They are probably mostly all accurate...
I remember when you would take the car to a mechanic who may or may not be selling batteries.

11. Yeah, but everybody sells batteries now ;)
You could take it anywhere, they all have batteries or can get them in under an hour.

17. Well when it's been working fine and I have it checked, I wonder
If it's been on the fritz I don't wonder so much.

14. The boxes are in our library's warehouse. They are to remain sealed until
Saturday morning--and there's a camera to make sure that they stay that way.

15. Wow! Hard core protection!
Did the library use a list for people to sign up prior to the release (to hold a copy?)...or is it first come, first served?

18. At last count (2 PM), we had 650 some in the queue.
In order to prevent employees from getting to it ahead of time, it's kept in the warehouse, and all holds will be filled from a central location.

Publishers are very antsy about pre-pub exposure.
