Wanna play "name that film?" |
|
Name a character from a film Someone guesses the film the character is from, then they name a character for someone else to guess...
I'll start:
Character name: Verbal Kint
what film is that character from? (then you post a name)...

I just love hearing about Doonesbury. I wish that was the only cartoon in the paper. Then, we might get things changed around this country!

the director of the film with the bandit Tajomaru.
It's not even meant to indicate Kitano Takeshi.

18. Yeah I do, but I couldn't remember who he was |
|
exactly so I had to look him up. I knew I wouldn't remember and I knew it would bug me that i couldn't remember, so I looked him up. Doesn't count if you have to look it up. I'm waiting for someone to answer it fairly.

40. Slept on it- have no idea |
|
things that burn in Blood Simple Photographs insects on buglamps Marty's dyspeptic stomach assorted chairs and rolled up rugs in the flaming dumpster Ray Bob's bloodsoaked windbreaker
ok I give up, I don't know any films with a character with the single name of Burns. Probably Kubrick related. They love that guy.

42. It's not quite the stretch... |
|
... it seems. M. Emmet Walsh is the seedy private detective, Loren Visser, in "Blood Simple," and also plays a crooked cop named Burns in... "The Pope of Greenwich Village." :)
Cheers.

But the first thing I thought of was Emmet! I looked him up in the cast of Bladerunner --BRYANT not Burns. Thought I'd cheated enough and gave up.

... "The Pope of Greenwich Village" is good. Great scene between M. Emmet Walsh and Geraldine Fitzgerald, too.
Definitely worth watching if you come across it.
Cheers.

41. Thanks, I should have made it harder - Loren Visser |
|
I'm still not sure how we know the guy's name is Visser. Loren is a bit of a guess too, it only appears on his zippo lighter inscribed in a laryiat (?) "Elks Club Man of the Year".

if that IS the movie's real name...
or how I learned to stop worrying and love the bomb.
Carol Lundgren That's not really fair of me. That's not really a character--just a walk-on role, a name and a pretty face.
Sandy Williams --and don't cheat!
