I'm sick of it. I'm sick of them.
The widening gaps, the hatred, the acting out of self-interest above society...

But that's how people (especially those in generation Y or afterwards) are. If people hate *, you can bet it's because it's all about them.

Sick of offshoring. http://www.paceorg.com/ Having gone through some of their tests; All the jobs suited for those who who are primarily in the GREEN category are the ones going bye-bye (IT, machinists/production, et al). My Myers-briggs analysis and other tests all show the same things. There is no future for us in this category.

Even talked with a ex-co-worker friend a few days ago; his son is keen on entering Iraq and thinking "poor me" because he too is in IT under the same scenario. I suggested a death wish or, worse, outright depression and he's going to look into it. (I can't blame his son. What's the point of having or expanding one's intelligence when you're seeing all the opportunities go elsewhere while YOU are being finger-pointed as being stupid?!)

Then add in these inhuman devils known as politicians; it's no damn wonder they don't want to breed a society of smart people. They want control. Intelligence amongst the lower classes hinders their power.

If you think there's hope in the future, flush it now.

Sorry, I had to vent.

1. So you're saying
that younger people hate Bush because they are motivated more by their own self-interest than the interests of society?

2. Not all of them, but I think a lot of them are. They're Reagan's kids.
Not all of them by any measure, but far more than enough.

But they were hornswaggled by 9/11 and Iraq. Too many M$M articles wouldn't sway them. They probably believed it when * said offshoring would only help the economy.

And while many more now bash * and may have done so in 2004, you bet they'll still vote repuke in 2006.

After all, the Log Cabin Republicans are even more vocal about *co and their party clearly showing they'd rather see the LCRs (like any other GLBT person) dead, but that won't stop them from voting puke.

I say we shouldn't blindly say that if they all don't like *, that means they're pro-society in the slightest.

3. I think there are a lot of kool aid drinkers
among the younger set, and a few flavor-aide drinkers on "our" side too.

it's pure ignorance. I blame the very, very poor quality of history teaching in k-12. i think it's intentionally poor so that nobody gets "offended" or "thinks" or "questions society."

4. Agreed! Hell, K-12 - even BR - didn't even teach finances class!
They taught maths.

But not finances.

(BR = Before Reagan)

Of course, I'm sure such classes were dropped AR...

Indeed, with more worker longevity hitting the 5 year average mark, it's clear employers ditch long term employees because of cost 'demands'. (and yet these corporate PIGS demand loyalty from their workers! What a nerve! )
