Once again, it's time for Chuck Palahniuk quote time!!!!!
This guy has always been, 100% dead on...

------------------------------------------------

"There's always the chance you could die right in the middle of your life story." -Survivor

Six hundred and forty fish later, the only thing I know is everything you love will die. The first time you meet that special someone, you can count on them one day being dead and in the ground. -Survivor

Everything we can do is wrong as long as we're still alive. -Survivor

People can't conceive of a virtue in someone else that they can't conceive in themselves. Instead of believeing you're stronger, it's so much easier to imagine you're weaker. You're addicted to self-abuse. You're a liar. People are always ready to believe the opposite of what you tell them. -Survivor

"If you worry about disaster all the time, that's what you're going to get." -Survivor

This is how I found the strength not to get on with my former life. This is how I found the courage not to pick up the same old pieces. -Invisible Monsters

"When you understand," Brandy says, "that what you're telling is just a story. It isn't happening anymore. When you realize the story you're telling is just words, when you can just crumble it up and throw your past in the trashcan," Brandy says, "then we'll figure out who you're going to be." -Invisible Monsters

"Miss Rona says the only way to find true happiness is to risk being completely cut open." -Invisible Monsters

When we don't know who to hate, we hate ourselves. -Invisible Monsters

"Our real discoveries come from chaos," Brandy yells, "from going to the place that looks wrong and stupid and foolish." -Invisible Monsters

You know how you look at ugly hunchback girls, and they are so lucky. Nobody drags them out at night so they can't finish their doctorate thesis papers. They don't get yelled at by fashion photographers if they get infected ingrown bikini hairs. You look at burn victims and think how much time they save no looking in mirrors to check their skin for sun damage. -Invisible Monsters

I'm tired of this world of appearances. Pigs that only look fat. Families that look happy. -Invisible Monsters

"You had to get right to the edge of death to ever be saved." -Choke

"Torture is torture and humiliation is humiliation only when you choose to suffer." -Choke

"For all those people in Room 234, working on their twelve steps in a sexaholics meeting is a valuable important tool for understanding and recovering from... well, you get the idea.
"For me, it's a terrific how-to seminar." -Choke

Sure, everybody wants to play God, but for me it's a full-time job. -Lullaby

What you don't understand, you can make mean anything -Diary

Stanislavski was right, you can find fresh pain every time you discover what you pretty much already know. -Diary

We have no scar to show for happiness. We learn so little from peace. -Diary

1. Thanks for This. Here are Three
"You're insane." "No, YOU'RE insane." (from the "Fight Club" movie)

"Is that your blood?" "Some of it." (from the "Fight Club" movie)

"When the future go from being a promise to being a threat?" (Invisible Monsters)

God, I wish I had access to the books. You can find a gold nugget every page or two. I reread the first chapters of Choke yesterday morning and was amazed by what I didn't remember.

3. From Choke:
The answer to all of the above is: Well, I do now!

and

The truth is, every son raised a single mom is pretty much born married.... In the modern Oedipal story, it's the mother who kills the father and then takes the son. And it's not as if you can divorce your mother.

5. I'll use one from the Official Lugubrious Quotations Thread
"Crying is right at hand in the smothering dark, closed inside someone else, when you see how everything you can ever accomplish will end up as trash.

This is when I'd cry, because right now, your life comes down to nothing, and not even nothing, oblivion. It's easy to cry when you realize that everyone you love will reject you or die."

from Fight Club by Chuck Palahniuk
