I am so sick of getting injured
Last night stepping out the door I hit a hole some damn chipmunk dug and sprained my right ankle. Three months ago I disolocated my left andkle. Last November I tore a groin muscle. I have contiunuos tendonitis in my left shoulder and I had to have my right shoulder repaired when I almost tore the whole rotator off. My left knee aches every morning from an old speedskating tear and the right one just likes to play along. At the rate I'm going I'm not going to have any fully functional joints by the time I'm 50.

1. Tell me about it

I used to ride bulls and wrestle, both pretty seriously. I'm 30 and when I get up in the morning I practically sound like a bowl of rice krispies.

Have you ever tried glucosamine and chondroitin? I used to do so, but it's too expensive for me at this time. I will tell you it did make my joints feel better. It's something you need to use everyday for 6 weeks before you start noticing it, but it does help quite a bit. It helps restore long term health to your joints by growing new cartilage and shoring them up.

Also, I ice my knees, my back, my shoulders, neck, elbow etc, whenever I do anything remotely physical. Sometimes I do it anyway just to keep inflammation down. It might not be a bad idea to use ice a little more frequently.

I'd tell you to quit being an accident prone klutz, but if I knew the cure for that I wouldn't be one myself. :)

3. I've taken Glucosamine in the past, I'll have to start again
I have some just haven't gotten back into the habit of taking it every AM.
Bull riding sounds like a good way to stress the body.

2. I am a klutz, but I've noticed there are periods of time which are
worse than others. Broke the same leg twice in three months, then I sprained that ankle all within 6 months time. One summer I got stitches in my hands 3 times in three months. It seems to be tied to how stressed out I am at the time. Good luck, hope the injuries are over.

4. so sorry to hear it!
Try not to fret, and see if you can get a doctor or a physical therapist to recommend exercises to strengthen your injured joints.

5. I'm getting to be on a first name basis with the ortho
He gives me good stuff to do. I have all the info on ankles from the last time I was there. At least this is not as bad.
