I'll admit the ABC coverage of Live8 was pretty lame, but how about you fundies shut the fuck up for 2 minutes and listen to the message that the organizes and supporters (including Pat Robertson) were trying to make instead of seeing how many times you hear a naughty word on a TV show.

You are all FUCKING imbeciles. Turn off the boobtube and spend time with your kids who are probably desperate for your attention anyways!

ABC Prays It Won't Be Fooled Again

The Parents Television Council, a unit of Brent Bozell's conservative Media Research Center, has filed an FCC complaint against ABC, demanding that its stations be fined for broadcasting an unedited version of The Who's "Who Are You?" during its July 2 Live 8 concert special. Although the special featured highlights from the worldwide rock concert, ABC neglected to edit out the f-word from the lyrics, even though the song has aired unedited thousands of times on the radio over the years. ABC acknowledged that it had aired the verboten word, saying in a statement: "Unfortunately, one inappropriate phrase sung by one performer was initially missed and made it into the East Coast network feed. It was subsequently edited out of the West Coast feed." The PTC has been at the forefront of protests against the use of profane language on television and generated most of the FCC complaints concerning Janet Jackson's "wardrobe malfunction" at the Super Bowl halftime show and Bono's use of the f-word during the 2003 Golden Globes Awards.

1. Did they have a campaign to complain about Cheney's comments?

2. That's different
The Morality Police want you to do as they say, not as they do.

3. Fight back
Fight back against the PTC. At SpeakSpeak.org, we're organizing a counter-campaign.

Complaining about the Bozellites is good for releasing steam, but it doesn't do anything to stop them. If you really do want to stop them, send a letter to the FCC asking them to deny the indecency complaints filed by the PTC.

(And no, they don't have anything better to do that wait for the F word. If fact, they employ an army of people to watch every minute of every television show and do just that.)

4. Oh fuck fuckety fuck
the whole fucking world is not going to fucking crumble by fucking saying the word fuck for fuck's sakes. See I just said it like 8 fucking times and nobody got fucking hurt. How about they fucking show outrage at things that really fucking matter like the situation in fucking Africa that spawned this fucking concert in the first place

5. Do smoking and drinking on TV really make me look cool?
"Of course they do. But what about violence? Again, the answer is yes. But have you ever considered turning off the TV, sitting down with your children, and hitting them?"
