2. Maybe with Bernie Leadon, too. |
|
Poor Leadon, he jumped ship just before Hotel California started to come about.
Bad timing, Bernie boy.
B-)

5. Don Felder was a member of the Eagles for about 25 years. |
|
The leaders of the band would never account to him for all of the money being made. He confronted them and they told him he was fired, although he thought he was an equal partner. Now, he has sued them.
He composed the chord pattern for the song "Hotel California." Now, for the past few years, the Eagles have been touring without him.
I'm just curious how this lawsuit will turn out.

7. Walsh took Bernie Leadon's place. |
|
Before Felder joined, it was just Don Henley, Glen Frey, Bernie Leadon, and Randy Meisner. Felder joined for their third album, On The Border. Bernie quit after the next album, One Of These Nights. Then, Walsh joined and the band did Hotel California. Randy Meisner left the group after Hotel California. He was replaced by Timothy B. Schmidt, who had been with Poco. Felder and Walsh play most of the lead guitar parts on Hotel California and their last album, The Long Run.
Henley and Frey kicked Felder out several years after the reunion, when Felder started asking questions about money.
Hence, the lawsuit.

The LA Superior Court has a website where cases and documents can be accessed. Apparently, the cause is set to go before a jury either in September or November.
Not that many people really care, but I think you know why I might be curious. ;)
