Okay, I just got a(2 actually) phone call about my letter to the editor

the first one the guy says "Hey, EC saw your article in the paper, this is Tony from (my high school, years ago) give me a call sometime" that was this morning while I was at work, left on my machine. The second call was a little while ago, while I was out and left on the machine, all he said was "Asshole" so, I'm guessing he didn't agree with my letter. I looked up the phone number in reverse directory, couldn't get any hits, it's a cell phone, so out of all the Tony's I knew, I have no clue, and am not sure what to do? Ignore it? Report it? If he got my phone number out of the phone book, he would also have my address...why the first phone call asking me to call, if all he wanted to do was call me an asshole?

Any suggestions?

2. If you call the police they can trace the cell phone number

either through the 9-1-1 screen or by calling the cell phone providers in your area. It's done all the time.

I had an experience a couple of years ago kind of similar. I did something patriotic to the left and it caused a commotion here in my little town.

The first person to call me, called me a hippi bitch and hung up. I got a letter in the mail with all kinds of obscinities in it from a church. But on the up side people called me from all over the country to thank and commend me for my actions. No kidding, about 30 people did because the newspaper article was syndicated across country. My 15 minutes of fame was exciting and scarry.

It was hard at first to go into my usual places because I did not know how I would be recieved. People shook my hand and thanked me.

Although someone did use my photo on a posterboard and it read "don't be like lilyhoney, support the troops." They stood out on the corner with it during their pro war demonstration.

I did hook a tape recorder to my phone and screened my calls for a couple of weeks.

You will be fine. But be alert.

I do keep the recorder on and am saving the bad calls, I get allot of good calls too, I publish every month and I think the wingnuts are starting to watch my articles because I don't come off like a nut like some of the other local regulars do and people actually do talk about them in the local hangouts...
