7. Wow -thanks! I love the old "black and white" stars of the '40's - when
movies were movies. Double Indemnity, Sorry, Wrong Number - two of the best ever made, imho.

15. She was awfully young
and he was "Broadway's Favorite Son". Maybe she was looking to the future as far as professional connections were concerned? I've read in a couple of bios that she was mourning her boyfriend who died unexpectedly and Fay stepped in as a "shoulder to cry on".

Who knows? Had she stayed in NYC a while longer her stage career probably would have been white-hot and she would never have had a reason to go to Hollywood.
