1. I've attended the Laconia one several times a long time ago. |
|
Back then, I might have thought about Sturgis, but I'm too tired for that shit these days. :-) I think a couple of my friends may have gone to Sturgis once or twice, but I can't remember.
Why do you ask? Are you going to Sturgis?

12. I'm just curious if there are any bad boy bikers here at DU. |
|
I'm not going, my bad boy biker days are behind me now. I love the Black Hills and encourage anyone who has never been there to go. I don't have a bike at the moment. (I can't afford a Harley.) My brother in-law invited me to ride my sisters bike with him and some Marine Corps buddies. It's tempting but I travel alot for work and need the vacation time for my family.

But not for the Harleys or because I anticipate a critical mass of poseurs being reached.

You got that right! Hell, even Sonny B doesn't ride a Harley anymore.

I was there in 1998. Wasn't sure how much I'd like it - as I know it can get CRAZY. Turned out I LOVED it. Everyone should go at least once - bike or no bike. It's the best place to people watch - EVER.

10. I know what you mean... |
|
in my wilder days, I had a lot of freinds bite the pavement, as they use to say when one died....
But I had drifted away from a lot of them, just running into them now and then, at a bar....
I went to college....
They didn't
