Finally saw "Finding Neverland"
Loved every second of it :). What a great movie.

Also saw "Million Dollar Baby" . . . loved every second of it, what a great movie (though depressing).

Today was a good day for lounging and watching DVD's from Netflix.

3. I know what you mean! I finally saw Neverland last weekend...
and fell in love with it. Bought the DVD the next day and have been gushing about it to all who will listen. It was just an amazing movie. I haven't been touched by a movie like that in, well, a long time. Such wonderful storytelling and superb performances.

7. Exactly :). . . the seemless transition back and forth between
fantasy and reality is wonderful.

For some reason, the scene immediately following the premier of the play when Peter makes the comment to correct everyone was for me one of the best scenes in the film :).

9. Yes! Of course, I didn't think about it...
that much during the movie, but what (the boy) Peter said in that scene made so much sense.

Interestingly, Johnny Depp and Freddie Highmore (Peter from Finding Neverland) were both in Charlie and the Chocolate Factory...the boy played Charlie. I saw it this morning (IMAX, even). I didn't like the '71 version of Willy Wonka, but I really enjoyed this new one. I felt like a kid again for a couple of hours. :-)

10. I thought it was kind of neat having Dustin Hoffman in the film
Not only did he do a wonderful job, but remember that he played Hook opposite Robin Williams as Peter Pan :).

Kind of a neat (and unintentional) connection :)

11. Great connection you made -
I completely forgot about Hoffman playing Hook! Yes, that does make it even more interesting in retrospect.

8. Yep, two of the best I've seen in a very long time. They've both been
on my Netflix queue for ages, I just really lucked out getting them both on the same day.

What a wonderful way to spend the evening :)

6. I loved "Finding Neverland"!
Haven't seen "Million Dollar Baby", yet..but I am watching some netflix I got.

"The Jury" is 3 disc set, British TV mini-series that is really interesting. I'm on Volumn 2 now.

<<snippet>>
"When a young man named John Maher is murdered, all fingers point to one person: his Sikh schoolmate, Duvinder Singh, who from most accounts hated Maher enough to kill him. But as with every story, there are two sides, and many feel that a gentle, intelligent boy such as Singh is incapable of murder. It's up to "The Jury" to find out the truth and seal Duvinder's fate.

Starring: Sonnell Dadral, Derek Jacobi, More
Director: Pete Travis

12. I bought it today at Blockbuster.
I've seen it and can't wait to watch it again. Also bought Ocean's 12 and Harold and Kumar Go to White Castle. Sure I may not have sophisticated tastes in movies, but who else can say they pissed themselves laughing so hard watching Eurotrip!?
I apologize for the weird rambling. I'm a bit drunk. Thanks.
