Has anyone ever been a trustee? |
|
And if so, what's expected of you? I found out my granddad's named me trustee of his estate.

1. You gatta take care of the dispensing of the goods... |
|
work hand in hand with the executor, it there is one. If not, it's you....
You can represent the estate in probate....
You have to file the papers and take care of any tax returns....
The court will usually designate a fee for this responsibility

I think my cousin's going to be pissed that she wasn't made a trustee, but she's been taking some of his $$, he thinks, while paying his bills. I appreciate the info, I'm checking legal sites to see what's expected of me.

That rhymes.
Otherwise, I can't help you out, but this will help to keep your thread kicked for someone who just might.
