It freaks hubby out, because at his parents' house, no one says anything all that "deep", just small talk. They don't even vote!

We go to the polls, 10 y.o. in tow, and vote two different parties.

not by the usual means. Next Friday is the 20th anniversary of her death. Oddly enough, after she died, I had a recurring dream of her calling me on the phone just to chat, and in my dream, I always knew she was dead and didn't see how she could be calling me on the phone or why she acted like everything was the same. Finally, I voiced this to her in the dream one night and she said "Just because I'm dead doesn't mean I can't talk to you." But I never had the dream again.
