Big Brother 6 has a young Iraqi man as a Houseguest
He seems to be the most mature one on the show (and, as one poster at Hamstertime put it, probably the most peaceful Houseguest on BB *ever*)
Doesn't drink, isn't bad mouthing the other HGs, trying to maintain his dignity through all the reality show crap.

He and two other male HGs were having a discussion on the war on last night's episode. One of the other guys was spouting all the right wing points "I'd rather fight them over there than here, yada yada." Another guy was arguing we were just over there for the oil. Then the anti war guy asked Kaysar (the Iraqi) if he thought the country was any better off after the invasion. Kaysar said it was not because now people couldn't leave their homes without fear of being shot. He said his family is still there and one member of his extended family had been killed. His aunt has diabetes but can't get the right meds to treat herself, so she's dying too. This really shut the RWer up and he said that Kaysar helped put a human face on the war for him.

I know Big Brother is crap TV, but perhaps enought sheeple will see this episode and it will put a human face on the war for them too.

1. It was a pretty amazing sequence -
Strong points from Eric the firefighter that war was a big sham from Bush Admin.

James responding with non-stop RNC Talking Points, culminating w better to fight them over there.

Kaysar taking James and calmly explaining that real people are dying in Iraq. At least a few scaled falling off James' eyes.

(PS I knew I liked Eric for some reason)

3. War isn't about people. It's about politics.

4. I still don't like Eric....
His politics may be decent but his personality on the most part sux.

I did love seeing James put in his place and when it dawned on him that his words were total bullshit..................priceless.
