Poll question: Should I shave my arms? |
|
I have dark black hair on my arms. I am brown, as y'all know--so I guess it's not that jarring, but it's definitely dark and it's definitely noticeable. And frankly I never noticed my hair until I started watching Bollywood films (where everyone shaves everything, looks like) and starting looking at women around me. And um, I found some pictures...but I think they come from a fetish site?? :scared:
I'm so not a high maintenance gal, so I hope most people don't care-- I don't want to offend, LOL! It's already quite enough with the eyebrow plucking and the leg shaving and the underarm shaving....do I *really* have to add another hair removal program to my life?

3. Waxing hurts though, *pout*. |
|
I got my upper lip waxed once.
It felt like someone ripped my top lip off.
Wax, huh? Hmm.

Shaving will just make it come back thicker...
Wax and Laser will make it go away permanently

19. The thing about shaving making it come back thicker |
|
is an old wives tale. It really doesn't. Heard that on "Mythbusters".

10. My sister was telling me one of her bosses waxes everything once |
|
a month (arms and legs, anyway).
And a cousin of mine shaves her arms because she "doesn't want to look like a man".

6. I waxed my arms once or twice about 14 years ago |
|
and still have some small scars on them. Then I shaved them, then stopped when I realized it was too high maintenance.

11. Yeah--I don't think I'm ready for that level of upkeep. |
|
Too many other things to think about.
But if people are busy looking at my arms and thinking "gross!"...

Hair grows there, obviously it should be there...so why does everyone want to get rid of it?

9. I shave my legs, underarms and do some trimming in other spots, but |
|
what is the obsession with total lack of hair? I mean it kinda gets creepy, too pre-adolescent.

14. I think it's creepy too, kind of... |
|
but for some reason hairy can mean 'masculine'. Starting with the legs even.

17. Don't know. Are your arms "furry?" If they're real furry you might |
|
consider it... It's hard for me to say without seeing them. Don't shave. If anything use Neet or something like that. See how long it takes for them to return to their furry condition. Then you can determine if a periodic application of Neet will satisfy you.

18. My digicam is all screwed up right now. |
|
Tried googling to find a pic of a girl with arms that are my degree of hairiness, that's how I found what I think is a fetish site...
But you're right, it would probably depend on just how hairy I am. I don't know if it's that bad, as I've had hairy arms all my life and never got any complaints.
But in general my hair is very Neet/Nair resistant. :scared:
