Oonto a Disc?

I want to have a video Show for My Mom's birthday.

I have been reading all the directions and still no luck.

I was trying to avoid going to a professional but may have to do it.

1. Go to Picasa, you can do it through there--they have a "gift cd" option.

I just downloaded it again, and there is a "gift cd" option that you can use to make a slideshow on a cd. You check the photos you want on the slideshow, add more, and then click "burn disc".

2. If you have a Windows machine your can use Win. Movie Maker

On XP you find it by going to start-all programs-accessories--Windows Movie Maker. I think you can even add music, title slides, etc. with this program. It's a pretty basic program.

I've used Adobe Premiere to make slide shows.

I also think you can use Microsoft Powerpoint to make a slide show.

9. Yes, you can.

But it's not very good software, graphics-wise. I work in a place that uses it way too much.

I have been working with PowerPoint, the ubiquitous presentation software, as an art medium for a number of years. It started off as a joke (this software is a symbol of corporate salesmanship, or lack thereof) but then the work took on a life of its own as I realized I could create pieces that were moving, despite the limitations of the "medium." I have shown these pieces in galleries and museums and most recently have produced a book with a DVD (Envisioning Emotional Epistemological Information) as means of presenting these curiosities.

If so, and you're using windows, this looks like a decent app:

I'm on a Mac so I can't vouch for the Windows stuff. The web site that link points to is called videohelp.com and has lots of apps listed for all sorts of DVD/Video related stuff.
