We just got back. Just got done feeding the cats,* unpacking, showering, d'loading my photos from camera to hard drive, checking my email, and tho't I'd browse in for a moment -- and look what I find!

And now I'm going away until tomorrow. Have to find some meatless dinner in this house, somehow, and hit the sack early. Back to work tomorrow.

* We have to find a new petsitter. The basement boxes had been scooped only once, if that; the upstairs boxes had not been scooped at all. The cats' dry food dishes were licked clean. And they had been fed only one 5.5 oz can of wet food per day. That's one can for all cats. We have eight indoor cats. I am beyond pissed.

9. Nine days.

And our outdoor cats -- the two who came out for food last night (we regularly feed four to six) -- were very thin. :grr: Seems all the mice stayed where it was cool while we were gone, because I know those cats hunt, too.

I am very bad at confrontation, but today, I get some good practice. Wish me luck.
