2. I think it's cool that Maddy
and Sundog love shark week. But it just doesn't thrill me. Now if it were Mafia or organized crime week I'd be glued to the TV.

4. Mythbusters to the rescue!
They made shark week this year. BTW, did anyone see last week's Mythbusters? I thought it was one of the best ever.

5. Shark week? Blaa!
How many years in a row have they had Shark Week?

I mean, is there that much to know about sharks?

Why not rabid dog week or cobra week or man-eating tiger week if you want to see animals that harm people?

25. Actually, Shark Week is an ancient pagan ritual
that has its roots in festivals and celebrations that date back millions of years to the original mystery rites. You know, when they watched tv by the light of the campfire...

30. shark week was actually celebrated among the druids & south american
shamans... the two groups were first introduced by a band of spice smuggling pirates... during their travels, the pirates thought those two groups might get along, so they arranged a party in morocco...

BUT, one of the boats shipwrecked on the way to the meet-up on the straight of gibraltar... and all of the crew members on the vessel were eaten alive by sharks...

so when the other boats all finally got to the meet-up, they had a party anyway, but they did some shark spells & that was the beginning of shark week :P

11. What would REALLY be funny...
would be someone who was afraid to swim in one of the Minneapolis lakes out of fear of sharks.

No person has ever been eaten or even bitten in half by a shark within the Minneapolis city limits. :P

23. Yup. A shark attacked a teenage girl near Galveston.
She was wading in waist deep water. I was always suspicious of what might be lurking in that brownish stuff. Sediment makes it brown--pollution just adds a tang of extra toxicity!

She almost lost her foot but the surgeons think she's going to be OK.

24. Well, that could be informative... I guess
I don't know that I'd watch more than one or two shows though. I'm just not sure I feel the need to know a week's worth of shark facts.

29. I Care Because They're Including Mythbusters In It
Normally, i don't care. But, this time they've decided to use Jamie and Adam to test some of the long time shark myths. I watched one episode last night (i think there's supposed to be two). It was pretty cool, but i fell asleep before it was over. So, i have to review that one, as well.
