My 4-year old son won a Harry Potter costume contest! |
|
At the Hasting's book store in San Marcos Friday night! We won a free copy of the book. It was cool!
Just felt like braggin' on the boy a little, that's all.
My wife has finished the darn thing already. Me and the kids will work our way through it a little at a time. Well, my son and I will. My daughter got her own copy because we had pre-ordered through Amazon so we ended up with two copies.
:woohoo:

I won't give it away in this thread, but jesus christ on a trailer hitch, I was floored! And then I cried........
And congrats to the little one. The Borders I was at had a few little ones dressed up, but the big surprise was how many older kids were there in very elaborate costumes. :)

2. Yeah, my wife was stunned by the book as well. |
|
She had the tears flowing, too. It was emotional for her. My daughter will probably be the same way when she gets through it, although it will take her a while to get there. She's 9, and although she's a good reader, this is her first stab at a book this big. She's enjoying digging into it, though.

I promised my daughter we would read it out loud together. I'm rather touched that she wants to do this since she is 16. We read all of the others that way expect for the last one. I may have to read that one to her before we go on to the lates.
Oh, and congrats to your son for winning the costume contest.
