Chicago model might get the death penalty |
|
Anyway, this gal decides to kill herself by running her car into another. She killed three people.
However, the kicker is she is completely hot. See .
This is going to be a big story around here. Probably also nationwide.

Why couldn't she decide to run into a light pole or something, instead of taking other people out with her.
Phuck her.

I'm sure there's a way to do it that wouldn't involve taking others out with you, even if she would have had to drive to a more rural locale than downtown.

Why do people pick such stupid suicide methods?
A leap from a tall building always works.
And running into a bridge abutment at speed works great too. No need to involve others.
The ones that are the worst are the ones that make others do it for them; Suicide by cop, for example, or the people who stand in front of a train. The cops and engineers have to live with that, and I know it haunts some of them.

Along with two other members of Chicago indie-rock bands.
What a tragedy. And one of the guys who was killed was a vehement opponent of the death penalty.

That's the dumbest thing I've heard of all year. A tree would've done quite nicely, I've seen one tear a BMW just about in half after it hit a tree at about 90mph.

14. Oh, God, don't even mention antifreeze. |
|
I was working in an ICU once when they brought in a guy who had drunk windshield-washer fluid (not that far removed from anti-freeze). Evidently, he didn't drink enough to do the job (whether suicide or a high, I have no idea), because basically all he accomplished was going violently insane. It took two doctors, two nurses, and three security people to hold him down as they tried to sedate him. It was a nightmare I will never forget.

It is one thing to recognize physical beauty in a person; it is quite another thing to ignore the rest of the person.
Madness.
My condolences to all the bereft.
...
Oh, and I intend no criticism of the original post (or poster). My criticism is for those who were close to this person, profited through her -- but did not provide her the understanding, help and support that she obviously needed.
And my criticism is for a society unconcerned about and uncaring for the mentally ill.

I wouldn't advise placing too large of a bet on me religiously practicing either of these "values" (which I might characterize as being transcultural humanitarian values)... It's situational with me. And I can be quite deliberately cruel and compassionless (in act), when I judge that the circumstances demand this.
This woman clearly has unhealthy things happening in her head (not that suicide is necessarily "unhealthy" in this same sense). How mitigating this should be, I don't know -- and (without knowing the essential context) perhaps not at all.
Justice is a rather difficult ideal. Myself, I concentrate on practicing judgement.

I dunno why you want to take others out and, let's face it, our "society" will soon reach a point where being dead will be a better condition to be in. Is it really philanthropy to take out total strangers in the process of trying to do yourself in?

22. This happened right by my office. |
|
I know of someone who was at the intersection at the time of the accident. She was really shaken up, said she saw the car of the victims upside down with flailing legs hanging out of it and a brain on the pavement.
A friend of my coworker pronounced them dead and said the girl was a real piece of work, still casting herself as the victim somehow. Said she was a total spoiled princess. Meanwhile three guys just waiting at a stop light on their lunch hour are dead.
In a way I'm glad she survived so she can face the music. One part of me says that she was obviously mentally ill but then I think of those three guys who could very easily be guys I know. One of the victims was a friend of another coworker of mine, the victim was in a band with my coworker's boyfriend.
I hope she gets convicted. So what if she's pretty. She's selfish, stupid and malicious too. She should've just closed herself in the garage with her car running and saved everyone else the agony.

She should live. That would be much more punishing. She would actually get her wish if they gave her death and she would avoid having to do it herself.
