Please remind me never to forget this: NO WHIPPED CREAM ON MY FRAPPUCINO!

I always forget to tell the Starbucks drones not to put whipped cream on my vanilla bean blended creme frappucino. I got one this morning to commence the day's studying, and it's all whipped cream and no vanilla bean. I condemn myself to hell!!

1. The person in front of me today ordered a Frappucino

with a cream base instead of a coffee base. I have no idea what that even means.

2. I usually forget to say

'NO SALT' on my marguerita glass. I hate when that happens!

3. The sequence:

Size, NO WHIP, flavor, drink.

As in "venti NO WHIP mint mocha frappucino".

It helps the drones if you mimic their own terminology. :)

10. But it's coffee...

and coffee is usually what I want. Been to Starbucks, and it's tough to find the burned coffee in the cup of steaming, frothing whatever it is.

7-11's cheaper, too.

But, if you like burned coffee disguised as steaming, frothing whatever it is, there's nothing wrong with that.

11. No my hubby hates Starbucks coffee. He

says it is always burnt. But, I only drink the Fraps or a White Chocolate Mocha. Mmmmm! If I drank coffee, I would not get it at Starbucks.

Most serious coffee drinkers I know don't think much of Starbucks, except for the French Roast crew. And they don't think it's that good, either.

A few years ago I happened to overhear a conversation at the next table where three or four fairly recent MBA's were talking about stuff. One woman said someone in her class decided that her job marketing tampons wasn't what she went to school for, so she and her husband did a marketing study and found out that Starbucks customers generally liked the "experience" but hated the coffee.

So, they dug up some money and opened their own shop with "good" coffee. It did so well that they built, in just a couple of years, over 150 shops somewhere down South.

Never did catch the name of that chain,
