Why, oh why, oh why.....? |

The moved us into a newly rennovated building at the end of last month.
There is so much construction surrounding the building that you have to walk clear around the whole campus to get from the parking lot or the cafeteria to your office.
There is so much construction going on INSIDE the building that there are construction workers constantly walking through work space, discussing work problems, etc.... all day long.
The elevators don't work
They haven't delivered all our equipment yet (refridgerators, water bubblers, etc.) It took them 2 weeks to get us a fax machine. It took them 3 weeks to connect all the printers to the network.
My office-mate's phone dies on her at least twice a week.
The "shared" network space for our scanner isn't set up yet.
Please.... campus planners, operations people, etc.: If the building isn't done yet, don't move workers into it.

1. Well, let me see...there's got to be a bright spot here somewhere! |

I got it...tell your bosses it's impossible to get any work done in this environment, and take some time off...or just work slowly with the same reason.
It is outrageous to move people into a space that isn't functional yet. But it happens all the time. You have my complete sympathies!
