2. Steroids must have caught up to him
He had a "rare" degenerative hip condition. I'm going out on a limb and saying it was probably performance enhancers that brought it on.

5. He was accused of it, and flatly denied it
http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/7408479/

"“I’ve got nothing to hide,” Jackson said at a news conference before the White Sox’s game against the Cleveland Indians. “If anyone wants to check into my medical past, go get blood tests, go check up on those blood tests and see if there was any anabolic steroids in it. You’re more than welcome.”"

end quote

The editor, reporter and source all backed off the story. The source claimed he never told the reporter that, the reporter claims he did, but both deny having any knowledge that Bo used steroids.

4. He got amnesia
Apparently he forgot how to speak in the first person and began to believe he was talking about someone else, and soon forgot he even existed.

Just kidding. Love Bo. I heard an interview with him not too long ago. He's a successful businessman and is involved in nutrition and fitness programs for children. He was recently accused of steroid use by a reporter, and made short work of the story. The reporter, editor, and source all backed off the claims, and Bo made this gem of a statement: “I’m not going to sit here and say, ‘Maybe I did or maybe I didn’t,”’ Jackson said. “I didn’t. Never did. Never had to do.”

Then his career ended short due to some pretty serious injuries.
