I want to see how I've aged in three years, and what better way to do so than to view two self-portraits side-by-side? Okay, well, they're not side-by-side but you get the idea.

This was taken in the Great Smoky Mountain National Park in September, 2002



This was taken yesterday in the Shenandoah Valley (but not in the park)



Well, you can sure see that I've gained some weight, but other than that, not bad for a 63 year old, eh?

I do that from time to time - tell people I'm way older than I am. I don't know why. I'm not afraid of aging. The only thing about aging that bothers me is the pain.

I do like watching peoples' faces, though, when they say, :wtf: and try to figure out whether I'm telling the truth. It usually takes me less than 30 seconds to fess up & apologize.
