5. When my mom had chemo, she looked like my grandpa.
We teased her about it. She had a good sense of humor through it all. Especially when the morphine kicked in.

31. I shaved my head in March of '03
It's just long enough for a ponytail now. (sorry, no pic)

I was a bit surprised at how many men found my crewcut a turn-on. Eh, you never know

37. It may be for a number of reasons
Some Original Americans do it when someone dies. Also, some women do it in solidarity with a friend or family member going thru chemo.

I cut most of mine off for Y2K, just to do something different. I've shaved it twice since then, out of grief at going to war unnecessarily while Osama roams free.

42. My friend shaved her head
when her sister had to go through chemo... When her sister first saw her she cried her little eyes out and thanked her and told her to never do it again though because she looked hideous!!

What a sweet gesture to do for someone :)

44. That is sweet
One thing I really like is how low maintenance the fuzzy look is. I've seriously considered keeping it shorn and getting a wig or two for when I feel like having long hair.

46. Many muslim men shave it all during the Hadj, too
They shave their heads and beards off. It is part of the Hadj ritual, although most men just snip off a lock of hair and don't go for the whole "top down" look.

And no, I'm not muslim. I like beer and pork too much! :dunce:

Edited on Tue Jul-19-05 01:46 PM by Kipepeo
I like to see someone's face. Usually, not always, but usually the more hair a person has the less their face stands out to me. I think everyone, male and female, should go as short as looks good on them. :)

51. That's weird. I just saw a bald woman on the street.
She had eyebrows, so it wasn't due to chemo. Young, fairly attractive as well.

But I didn't care for the lack of head-hair.

54. My eyebrows never fell all the way out
Actually, my hair was just falling out in big patches, so I shaved it all off instead of dealing with constant shedding and a patchy look.
