Did anyone else enjoy (or even see) THE BURBS? |
|
Mind you, "The Burbs" is one of those forgotten 80's Tom Hanks behicles, but I love it. It's about an eccentric cadre of neighbors who suspect the new arrivals are, in fact, killers.
I laughed my ass off when Bruce Dern's character, an arms dealer, fell off the roof with his rifle in tow.

2. I remember it but not very well. |
|
I did alot of drugs when that movie came out so I don't remember too much of the late 80's through the mid 90's.

He was great in "Greg the Bunny".
Feldman: "Aren't you that rabbit? I thought you were a puppet."
Greg: "Aren't you Corey Feldman? I thought you were in rehab."

12. That looks hysterical! |
|
Thanks. Now, how can I manage a road trip to NYC before it closes? And how did I forget about Stand by Me and Gremlins?

13. The best scene in that movie |
|
has got to be the close-up of the dog's face when Hans Klopek is standing on his porch.
Best line: "I've never seen someone drive their garbage down to the end of the street and then bang the hell out of it with a stick. I've never seen that."
Classic film. Seen it literally hundreds of times.
