Edited on Tue Jul-19-05 12:29 PM by GreenPartyVoter
make paragraph breaks and use colored fonts n stuff?

Whenever I use html I just see the code in the sigline. Do I use brackets or what?

Edited on Tue Jul-19-05 12:51 PM by billyskank

4. Use the square brackets found above the Enter key instead
of the pointy ones that are to the left of the ? key

If you can get that link fixed, the rest looks good to me.

Good work and a great tribute! :toast:

18. You're welcome
Try and scratch the whole thing and retype it. Sometimes I'll make a mistake and my eyes refuse to see it... They think they're infallible. :eyes:

19. I'll try that but honestly.. I have looked and looked and have not seen
where this electionre.htm thing is going on. So far all I see is the correct addy. (I may just give up and link to the main page. It seems to accept that one ok.)

20. That is weird if it will go to the main page..
We need someone much wiser than I am to figure this out.

Perhaps, post it in plain text in the computer forum and see if anyone can fix it?

21. I might try that. :^) Or maybe the forum is freaked out because the end of
the url is the same as the text I wanted to use for the link? Who knows.

Or, there is an anti-election reform gremlin in the server eating the code. :tinfoilhat:

11. To make color font
Edited on Tue Jul-19-05 01:08 PM by Whoa_Nelly
use bracket < then the words: font color= (then name your color) then end bracket >

To close the font color use bracket < then backslash / then word: font then end bracket >

To make a paragraph break:
bracket <, then p, then end bracket >

To end the paragraph break:
Bracket < then slash /, the p, then end bracket >

If you want a double-space break uses bracket< then br then end bracket >
You use the same with the backslash to end the break

If you want a line in between the two sections use bracket < then hr then >
And back out at the end using same with the backslash.

If you use a combo of say the font color and a paragraph break, be sure to back out in the backwards order of how you started the text.

For example:
you enter your the use of bold (bracket the letter: b then end bracket), and a font color, you must back out of the html by entering what you used last.../font and then the /b to end the html.

Hope this makes sense :)

NOTE!

The BRACKETS are the keys next to letter "P" on your keyboard. In posting, my using the bracket key turned into greater than/less than marks...don't know why, except that because the brackets are used for html, it translated the text.

Hope this didn't confuse you!
