Why does everyone offer to buy my pickup truck?
I have a 1992 Red Toyota pickup truck. It has 2 or 3 dents in it. I am ALWAYS having people come up to me and asking if they can fix the dents. I say "actually I don't really care how it looks, I don't use it that much and appearance doesn't really matter to me." At which point they lower their offer to fix it. I always reply, "I'm really just not interested in having it fixed. It's not worth it to me."

At this point they invariably offer to buy it.

What's the deal. Why is everyone coveting my truck? It's a 2WD with a quarter of a million miles on it. I've finally decided I'm probably gonna sell it because i only use it every 4 months or so and it's not really worth the upkeep. But I expect all these people are expecting a deal of a century on it to which I say "Feh!"

What to do what to do, and why does everyone want it so bad???

1. The "can I fix your car" offers are really common.
I had a damaged front end, and everywhere I drove, SOMEONE would ask me if I wanted them to fix my car. They're all just jackals, really.
