My fish are overdosing on fish food. |
|
My autistic son dumped about half a cup of fish flakes into the 30 gallon aquarium. I've been carefully scooping for the last hour with s stainless steel strainer, being careful not to gather up any of the new baby platys in it, but three of them are very small, only about 1/4 inch long.
My husband is at work, and he called me five times to tell me what to do, and he finally came home. I guess he knew I was mad at him for being absent-minded and leaving the fish food out.
So I'm having a diet vanilla coke now to settle my nerves. I really didn't need more work to do.

3. The pet shop people said the extra food goes rotten |

and besides stinking up the aquarium, might cause the ammonia content to get nasty. Anyway, we're changing out some of the water every couple of days until it's cleaned up. I think I might have a fish still giving birth in the tank. One has been hiding quite well for awhile.
