Poison Ivy - I got Poison Ivy

between a couple of my fingers, back of hands and basically from my wrists to my elbows -- one big red blistery hivey mess

yes, been to the doctor - am on prednesone and some other stuff for the itch

NO - calomine lotion etc won't help it -- been through a big outbreak of it before and now I'm HYPER-SENSITIVE to poison ivy

took less than 24 hours for it breakout --- dummy me was clearing some brush Sunday and didn't pay attention to what I was clearing - the rash was there by monday morning - worse this morning and popping up in other areas of my body -- hence the doctor's visit

1. Take any and all clothing you were wearing- as well as bedding,

towels, and gardening gloves that you may have touched..and wash them in hot water. The oil in poison ivy lasts a very long time..also consider washing/discarding the shoes you were wearing.

my partner is paranoid... everything got washed a gazillion times over

3. I know what you're going thru.

couple years ago got into cleaning brush, and then had an allergy attack and got it in my eyes (swelled shut one eye). Put me on prednesone too. Got off of it as soon as possible (about two weeks). Really fucked me up (got a really nasty attitude).

They also had me on benadryl.

5. prednesone didn't effect me like that

doc gave me a refill for it though -- cause the last time it twook 2 rounds of the stuff to get rid of the poison ivy
