Kind of sad, really. The whole concept of honor, or at least of trying to behave as honorably as a flawed human can, just seems to have no value here. And, at the same time, the very word is cheapened and rendered almost meaningless by asociation with military adventurism, right-wing ideology, and the rest. :-(
