When you check a DUers profile. What do you look at first?

hobby is important - politics is not a "hobby", but people who say that it is theirs usually share certain traits.

I used to look at number of posts - now I realize that some low posters are brilliant and fair minded to their core, while some bajillion post old timers (the "DU Elders") could certainly benefit greatly from modern psychopharmacology and have absolutely zero basis for pulling rank on anyone ever for any reason, yet they act as if they do.

Hard lesson for me: you are what you write.

Nobody has magic DU goggles to see into your benevolent endearing soul beyond interpreting your grammar, your eccentricities, your temper, your positions on topics, not even really from your profile. You are what you write here.

Still there are some judgemental asses here some days - I really don't understand unprovoked personal attacks and off topic combative replies, not that I am capable of walking away from a fight myself.

There are so many posters so far out in front of me with their number of posts, that now being only light years behind them seems like up in front to me...

It would only give them more time to get even further ahead, as if infinity is not enough.

if they're from a state that has gone republican anytime in the last 6 presidential elections, they're a troll and I put 'em on ignore.

I very rarely look at anyone's profile, unless I suspect they're already in "boot hill". I don't know why.

22. It depends on why I'm looking at their profile

I normally only check the profile if I'm trying to gather info related to a person's post, or on which to base a reply. Sometimes a person's gender may play a role in how to view the content of their post, in other instances I may check to see where they live if they mention something location specific in a post, etc. etc.

I raarely look, but it's usually to find the gender. Not (necessarily) to flirt, but sometimes I like to have amental image of the person I'm typing to. I get tired of picturing David Bowie. ;)
